FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 came into effect in October 2006 and replaced most existing fire safety legislation.

Fire certificates are no longer required, and the emphasis is on preventing fires and reducing risk.

The FSO applies to all non-domestic premises in England and Wales, including the common parts of blocks of flats and houses in multiple occupation (HMOs).

The responsible person will be someone who has control over premises, or over some areas, departments or systems.

For example, it could be:

  • the owner, employer or manager of a business
  • the owner or managing agent of premises which are shared between a number of businesses
  • individuals within a multiple-occupancy building, such as self-employed people or voluntary organisations if they control someone within the premises

Through our partners we offer the complete Fire Risk Assessment solution; allowing you to achieve and maintain full compliance with the new law.

The process is divided into 3 steps:

1) On site assessment:

Our team of experienced fire safety experts visits site to carry out a full fire safety survey of the property and associated documentation. At this stage, an interview is also conducted with the responsible person(s) for the property and existing fire safety arrangements are discussed.

2) Formal action plan and report:

Following the assessment, we document all significant findings, and provide you with an easy to understand, personally tailored action plan and report. This will give you a clear indication of the current standards of fire safety at your premises, and any further arrangements that may need to be implemented.

3) Ongoing support:

As we provide routine fire safety inspection and testing services any ongoing support that you may require will be readily available.

In addition to the routine and follow up services that we provide, we are happy to provide free, confidential, advice to any of our clients as and when issues arise.

If you require other commercial services for the same property then we can save you time and money by providing different reports from one site visit and for one fee.
